So this morning on the CBC I was listening to a segment on being aware of how much you are being watched on the internet and how you should care, and how companies know all this crap about you…blah. So keeping in mind that I didn’t get to listen to the whole thing, basically the intro as I have the blow dryer going, I’m trying to find a hiding place for Finn’s cars (which for some reason he needs to have every day in case someone where to break in and take them? WTF?), ok off topic, but anyways it got me thinking. So I am all for security on bank stuff obviously, but on the flip side, isn’t this making my life easier?

I mean I went to this underwear website the other day and it asked me all these questions on what products I am into, which I was more then happy to provide being a fun interface and loving the product, and now when I go there, it just shows me things that it knows I will like. I mean win win! I have little to zip time to just surf around, shop here and there, and loaf on the internet – nope I have to log in, pick something, check out and dash out to my next task from ical. I want to be shown good stuff, I don’t want to look around for hours, I need what I want yesterday. So call me blind, stupid, naive, but sometimes I think being watched is a great thing…

well except if you are singing in the car.

Or playing baseball.

Or trying to show your kids how to breakdance…
